Why Moka musical plush toy?

We met Isabelle Sciotto, founder of Moka musical plush toy, at a business gala and were immediately charmed by her. Although, we had already been following her since her beginnings on social media, haha. The idea of falling asleep every night to the sound of violins and piano is brilliant.

"The idea came to us when shopping for the first baby in our family, when we noticed the lack of choice in musical plush toys offering beautiful, soft, and comforting melodies that are also good for the cognitive development of toddlers. It was then that we made it our mission to improve the quality of what children listen to while allowing them to find several beneficial effects for their development.

Having two music schools and being immersed in this universe since childhood, it was natural for us to want to share the proven benefits of classical music in children's development with other families. Indeed, it has been shown that it calms, soothes, reassures, awakens cognitive functions, improves memory, develops emotional sensitivity, and much more!

Unlike other plush toys, Moka's music was created from real classical musical instruments such as the violin, cello, and piano. Its 3 lullabies are 100% composed, performed, and recorded in Quebec. Our goal is to offer your baby the softest and most authentic sound experience possible and avoid the famous "shrill noise" of traditional musical plush toys.

Inédit du nord and Inédit-T, what is it, who is it?

Inédit du nord comes from the desire to promote products made in Quebec and to help local entrepreneurs and artisans.

The company was created by Marina Dubois, a young woman who has loved entrepreneurship since she was a child. Moving from a successful online store to a first brick-and-mortar store in Sainte-Thérèse in 2018, to now having 3 physical stores, is all to her credit.

Now, several types of teas are available under the Inédit-T brand.

La Lichée, what is it, who is it?

It's three young entrepreneurs and friends who set themselves the challenge of reviving Quebecers' love for caramel. (They succeeded!!)

Their story is very funny: it was after tasting the famous butter caramel of Gertrude, the grandmother of one of the co-founders, that they decided to share this delight with Quebec (and soon the rest of the world)! Now, Samuel ensures that the company's original mission is maintained: to take you back to childhood with our delicious, Quebec-made caramels.

They are proud to have high-quality vegan products that are handcrafted with great care by their super attentive team. They aim for zero waste, so the minimal packaging is carefully selected. Our family members are recognized by their scent. Yes, it happens very frequently that a family member enters an establishment and the employees ask them if they are related to Saponaria because they recognize the SPA-like aroma. Our choice of MÉLIA by Miels d'Anicet was unanimous within the team! The sublime scents and noble ingredients of their body care products make Mélia one of our favorite suppliers in the workshop. Especially for Frédérique, who is a fan of A to BZZZ of Miels d'Anicet!

Since the skin products are created from honey derivatives from Anicet's honey farm, many benefit from their properties. Propolis is a natural product with remarkable therapeutic properties, in addition to being antibacterial and healing. Used for the treatment of skin problems, it is also effective in treating microbial or viral affections.

It's over 70 products handcrafted in their workshop by a team of artisans who, with meticulous hands and an attentive eye, pour and emulsify each product.

Fun Fact about Miels d'Anicet, told by Anne-Virginie:

Heard hundreds of times in 20 years: “Miels d’Anicet, is it because the honey comes from the Anicet flower? Is it because you’re located in Saint-Anicet? Is it because it’s honey with anise?” And no, it’s the first name of the founding beekeeper!

Every time we participate in a market or exhibition, we have at least one curious customer who takes the sample spoon and tastes our body butter instead of spreading it on their skin. Yes, it’s made with 100% botanical oils, but the lavender taste is still quite strong! Other customers have even bitten into one of our bar soaps as we explained that it’s “made with edible oils.” That made us laugh a lot!

Did you know that our beekeepers can get stung up to 100 times a day? Yes, that’s the reality of beekeeping work! Plus, most of them are so used to it that they remain “fresh and available” … while we would look like real gorillas!”

Papoum Papoum is the sound of a little heart beating, but for over 14 years, it has also been a Quebec-based company that creates cozy and fun little creatures that bring comfort and security to your little ones. All their products are designed and manufactured, from A to Z, in Quebec using eco-responsible materials.

These loveys, stuffed animals, and accessories have been among our favorites since the very beginning of Shop moi ça. When my first child was born, I received a lovely little beige rabbit as a gift, incredibly soft. The Papoum quickly became a must-have that my little one carried everywhere she went. Her first best friend was so essential that we had to get a second one for daycare. What is Papoum Papoum?

A Quebec-based company that creates cozy and fun little creatures that bring comfort and security to little ones.

What makes it so special? The creation of unique and original products, made from organic cotton, bamboo, recycled polyester, and Canadian sheep wool.

Who is behind Papoum Papoum?

Mylène Sarrazin, a woman of heart and an inspiring businesswoman, always wanted to start her own business. At the beginning of the pandemic, she took the plunge by acquiring the artisanal company Papoum Papoum with the goal of taking it to the next level. Located in Outaouais, in Gatineau, six subcontracting seamstresses work hand in hand with Mylène to offer more than 50 products for toddlers.

Who is Elodie Marcotte?

La Marcotterie started as a late-night hobby in 2015 by its creator, Elodie Marcotte. Today, her skincare line has become a sophisticated brand loved by Canadians and minimalists worldwide.
